Description

Also known as XtinctGrip, this now discontinued studded grip for snowskates is my personal favorite for doing fliptricks in warmer conditions around the freezing point. I have used Ambition’s current grip of choice titled ‘Prism Grip’ before, and it works nicely, but it’s not as sturdy as Xtreme Grip and the rubber material gets softer in warmer conditions, meaning the Studs round off quite easily around the kickflip area of my board and patches get loose and fall off my board as well. With XtremeGrip the layer atop the studs will wear off over time and expose the metallic bit underneath, but the grip remains more or less. However if I was riding pow or anything like that I’d pick Tundra Grip.

This listing is for one (1) sheet of 5″ x 24″ (12,5 cm x 60 cm), which is a bit bigger than the 2 sheets you get when buying Prism Grip. One sheet has around 70 studs (a 2-sheet set of Prism Grip has 90 studs, in comparison). So with XtremeGrip you get a little more base material with a few less studs. For comparison, my Snowskate with Xtremegrip has 100 studs, but it is one of these preformed skate kits, where the studs are closer together. If I were to set up a new board with one of these sheets here I’d totally be fine.
