Description
indie / lo-fi / pop / punk from the US and the UK
eureka california deliver 2 sun drenched lo-fi indie / pop songs made for driving around with the window down listening to err, your in car record player. good grief is from liverpool and these 2 songs are just the most killer fuzzy pop punk you’ll hear. probably the catchiest thing i have ever released? a bit of a superchunk thing perhaps but that’s a lazy comparison (from a lazy guy).
Two awesome offerings of indie rock on one 7 inch!! Eureka California hail from Athens, GA and they played fuzzed out garage pop that reminds me of stuff like The Summer Hits, 13th Floor Elevators and the sort of sun baked noise pop that is associated with the west coast. Short bursts of anthemic fuzz pop that will beg multiple listens before you put the record back on the shelf. On the flip side Liverpool’s Good Grief gives us a one, two punch of indie punk rock that reminds me of Superchunk and New Sweet Breath. Good Grief get your attention with super melodic tunes that feature a driving low end and hooky guitar lines as well as powerful vocals.
