Description
clean twinkly and slighty distorted guitars that remind me of classic 2nd wave emo like boys life, spoken words reminiscent of what old gray would do plus roomy trashy drums.
listen to the record:
‘Not So Kind These Days’ encapsulates the innocence of childhood and claiming the power of one’s back after trauma. Finding peace and healing through creating. Healing the past with childish poetry and naive musicianship. Embracing the unmasking of autism and gender expression. Calling on influences from Slint, Duster, Low and other early slow-core and emo bands of the early 90s, diving deep into DIY bedroom recording and giving space to the inner child I’ve always ran away from. This album is a fragile, vulnerable and playful reframing of childhood.
