Description
From album opener “Hopelessly,” it’s evident things are a bit more rock ‘n’ roll this time around, embracing careening distortion to give Gagne’s gentle melodies a driving force. The record is louder and more refined, but the trio still capture the haunting natural beauty of their surroundings with every song. There’s still plenty of alt-country contemplation, cigarette smoke ballads, and at it’s center, Elisabeth Fuchsia’s gorgeous viola and Gagne’s serene visual lyricism.
